Took You Long Enough [Mello X Reader]
"Mello..."
By the instant you heard his name, all the memories suddenly whelmed your whole mind like a violent tidal wave against a mere plankton. Oh, how you "enjoyed" those days...
~Flashback~ at Wammy's House
You and your best friend, Near, were doing a puzzle when you noticed him. The chin-length blonde hair, the black leather clothing, and an apparently unending love for chocolate. Somehow, you found him really loveable. He was the only person at Wammy's House who really caught your attention like that.
So there was this time when you finally got the chance to "converse" with him, and yes, you tried...
He was reading a book in

First Meeting: One: Violent
It had been far to use to get into the pretty boy’s apartment. The idiotic girlfriend, if you’d call her that had easily been kept out longer with a new modeling photo op. Mafia sponsored, of course. The first thing I did was cut the internet and phone lines, couldn't have any interruptions. Going over L’s old records lead me here, to the apartment of the main Kira suspect; the brother of the girl I had kidnapped. The hand writing in the Death Note was an exact match to that of Yagami Light. Why L never thought of something so simple was beyond me. The only thing left to do was wait until Kira returned in the next quarter
Right now.
This very moment.
Someone is dying.
Someone has just died.
At this second, a fellow human being has breathed their last breathe, swallowed the last pill, sliced their skin a final time. They have given up their conscious existence for the promise of an eternal paradise. Willingly or not. Because everyone will die. Everyone is already dying. Every single second. As you grow and age, the biological clock strikes ominous seconds. Every breathe takes you closer to the end. Don't be alarmed, it's not individual. You are not special or different. This is happening to everyone. Every race from everywhere on the planet. Men, women, chi

He constantly talked about this. He talked about how much he wanted to leave this place. His voice was always animated at the thought of leaving. There were so many possibilities he said. Something better. I watched him through orange tint. He was smiling brilliantly. Blue eyes sparkled as he spoke. He looked beautiful.
I was sure he didn’t notice me staring at him. His eyes and his mind were somewhere far away. Places outside of Wammy House. Thousands of miles away. He wanted to get away. He wanted to escape. I didn’t know what he wanted. I didn’t know what he was looking for. Mello wanted to b
“Yagami threatened to kill me, to write my name in the death note, but I asked if he could kill me. Suddenly, Jose, the last true Mafia member, shot Yagami repeatedly until he hit the floor. I put on a gas mask, ready to blow up the building when the rest of Yagami’s force broke into the room and killed Jose. I clicked the button and –“
Mello pointed at the scar on his face. Matt sat there, staring at him, his page completely full and his mouth gaping open.
After ten minutes, he finally found the ability to talk again.
“And this Hal Lidner lady? How did you find her and start using her as your spy in the SPK?&
“So, what makes you think you won’t live to the 27th?” Matt asked curiously.
“Kira, Light Yagami, has probably warned Takada about me. She could have the shinigami eyes, like Jack Neylon had.”
“Who?”
“An idiot I worked in the Mafia with.” Mello had always considered Jack a tool, an idiot only worth using and disposing.
“You . . . were in the Mafia?” Matt still didn’t understand why Mello had worked with the Mafia in the past.
“Yeah,” Mello replied.
“I may as well tell him now,” Mello thought to himself and sighed, mentally preparing himsel
“What were –cough-cough- you talking about? –cough–“
“The plan to –cough– defeat Kira, and I will be his downfall! . . . But, I might not live to see my victory-cough-,” Mello said.
“Don’t –cough- say that! –cough- Ugh, what is with this place?! –cough–cough–cough– “
Mello stared out to the horizon, the sun starting to set on a beautiful day. He opened a window, letting all of the fumes from the ancient building out, letting Matt and himself breathe better with fresh air.
“-cough-cough- THANKS!-cough-“

“What’s the situation, Hal?” Mello started.
“Near wants me to tell you Takada’s schedule for the next 2 weeks,” Hal began, sounding a little exhausted. Hal had to be Takada's bodygaurd for a majority of the day, which was much more harder and tiring than what it seemed. She was only talking to Mello because her male bodyguards took over her job after 5 pm.
“2 weeks is a long time to talk about a woman’s schedule,” Matt interjected.
Hal had to bite her lip to keep from laughing. Mello was less amused.
“Don’t interrupt, this information is important,” Mello said, soundi
"Are you working late again, dear?" Hal asked, bitter at the news of her "acquaintance" being home late.
"Yes, unfortunately," her dear beloved answered. "I'll be home at 1 in the morn' but I'm getting paid extra for this project."
Hal stopped pacing, looked at her phone as if she was looking at her darling and asked "How much?", growing a Cheshire cat grin. It stretched as far as it could, her excitement increasing when her beloved said the words she desired. "We can have the honeymoon 3 months early." Her beloved could tell the excitement on Hal's face when she exclaimed "Oh dear, this is going to be the best week of our lives!" Her belov

Wammy's Children Chapter 4
“CECIL!!!” The entire group yelled simultaneously.
The man in his early 30s knew that a glomp was imminent, and held his arms out, embracing the idea.
Mello, Matt, Linda, and Near all glomped him, overjoyous to see someone they admired as a friend, not an authority figure.
Lacking love because of the way they were treated, both in the past and present, the four individuals were always amazed that one member of Wammy’s had actually become a family starter, instead of a soldier or a traitor, like the rest of the students.
Cecil also was the third Wammy’s child after L. A had committed suicide. B had become a murderer
